1975 Season Stats

Sophomore quarterback Gifford Nielsen, who hit 10 of 12 (a WAC record), came into the game in the third quarter with the Cougars trailing 12-0. The winning margin came on a 30-yard field goal by freshman Dave Taylor with 1:48 left in the game. Jeff Blanc rushed for 106 yards, caught four passes for 48 yards and one touchdown. 25,140 saw the night game on a warm evening.
