Home again after two road victories, the Cougars were looking for their first win in the newly-expanded stadium.

Both teams put on an offensive performance in the first half with the Cougars taking a one-point lead, 19-18, at halftime.

The second half saw the Cougars shut down the offense of the Rainbows. But BYU kept up its offensive performance of the first half in gear.

Steve Young had over 500 yards total offense.

BYU now 4-2 overall and 3-1 In the WAC.
