BYU snaps a three-game losing streak.

The Cougars score midway through the first quarter on a 25-yard pass from Ryan Hancock to Otis Sterling.

Utah State cuts the lead to a point after two 26-yard field goals by Sean Jones.

In the second quarter, Hancock connects with running back Kalin Hall. Jim Edwards' block opens the way for Hall to skirt the sidelines for 67 yards and another Cougar touchdown.

On BYU's next drive, Eric Drage makes a 55-yard shoestring catch and the Cougars threaten to score again.

The two teams then trade possessions as Hancock is intercepted by USU's Don Toomer at the Aggie goal line.

Utah State fumbles at its own 17-yard line and BYU's Shad Hansen recovers the ball. The Cougars score on the next play on a 22-yard end around Tyler Anderson.

With 5:19 remaining in the first half, Kevin Nicoll drops Calvillo in the end zone for a safety.

Jones kicks his third field goal for 47 yards in the final minute of the half.

Hancock completes a 65-yard touchdown pass to Drage in the third quarter.

BYU's defense comes up with four sacks and holds Utah State to 29 yards rushing.

BYU is now 2-3.
